Spectrum PET-G Premium is the second most popular material for desktop 3D printing. The main advantage of Spectrum PET-G Premium material is practically zero shrinkage and low moisture absorption compared to other types of thermoplastics used for FDM/FFF 3D printing. Objects made from PET-G material retain stable properties throughout their lifetime. Spectrum PET-G Premium combines the advantages of PLA and ABS. It also provides almost trouble-free printing and exceptional layer adhesion.

Objects printed using transparent colors of Spectrum PET-G Premium have a high crystalline component content, which allows achieving an almost transparent effect with a small number of outer perimeters in additively produced objects. The pellets and pigments used in the production of Spectrum PET-G Premium are approved for food contact.

Regarding other properties of Spectrum PET-G Premium, let's mention good resistance to stress under continuous load. The result is very good adhesion between the individual layers of the applied material. This leads to much less mechanical asymmetry of printed objects, meaning that the mechanical properties vary less for individual production differences than with other thermoplastics intended for 3D printing.

Very good mechanical properties of Spectrum PET-G Premium material combined with chemical resistance predetermine the use of this material for the production of parts with relatively high dimensional accuracy and stability of shapes and mechanical properties. In this sense, it is primarily about gears and sliding bearings exposed to relatively high static loads even in a water environment. PET-G is also used to produce semi-transparent covers and backlit parts of various boards and signs.
